► The Meals on Wheels Ministry provides hot nutritious lunches for senior citizens and disabled persons living independently in their own homes.
► The delivery process involves four volunteers (two for each route) meeting at the church each morning at 10:15 AM on Monday through Friday, picking up empty containers and taking them to Memorial Herman Southeast Hospital, picking up hot meals at the hospital, and delivering these meals to those persons on the route sheets. Detailed directions for each delivery are provided. After all deliveries have been made, the empty containers are returned to the church.
► New volunteers are always paired with an experienced person, one volunteer drives and the other gives directions for each delivery.
